Living on the land is not an easy life
It is very hard work, full of unpredictable circumstances and it takes courage and resilience to stick it out through drout, flood, bushfire, change of economics, requiring change of production choices.
These women exude condifence, resilience, independence and a love of being in the great outdoors.
Of course natural disasters did get in the way of farming dreams, yet they all stuck at it and became successful people on property and personally.
Their connection to family is unaminously strong and enduring,
These are stories from the Gladstone Region, Central Queensland, including the Boyne Valley, Mt Larcom, Benaraby, Targinnie and Miriam Vale, Monduran Station, Bororen, Condamine and Gayndah.
Thank you to each of these lovely people to show courage to share their life story with us!
